Established in the late 1970’s, the Galway-based organisation has grown to become one of Ireland’s largest sawmills. They supply products to the construction, garden & fencing and packaging markets in both Ireland and the UK.
Vital machinery was required in order to stay ahead of the game and grow the business. Having used funding from Close Brothers in the past for similar equipment upgrades, our service and speed of delivery made us a natural choice to support once again.
€1.5m was provided to enable the purchase of a new heating system, comprising of kilns and boilers which are used to dry timber. The machinery will allow the business to operate more efficiently and sustainably, as it operates using the waste products from the processed trees as opposed to traditional fuel.
